Went here with my husband. We ordered water and asked for lemons. Then about five minutes later we asked for more lemons and we were told they were out, which we understood. However, we noticed all other tables seemed to be getting lemons with their drinks. We ordered the garlic wings and soy ginger wings for lunch. They were not busy and we must have waited a good half hour before they came out. When they did, they were so greasy we could only eat two before we had to stop. The plate oozed with grease. Our waitress never came to check on us, but when we were able to get her attention, we told her that they were too greasy for us. She looked at us like we were crazy and gave us the check and that was that. We went to House of Blues the following day and it was much better!

Gross. I'll start by saying I'm celiac. They hand me a 'gluten free menu' which is a list of everything and the allergens in them. Wheat is in everything (even though that menu says wings are safe...they are fried in the same fryer as everything else). I got the grilled 'feathers' ....grilled chicken with sauce. It was pretty clearly grilled on top of fish. Gross. I love fish...when I order it. My chicken actually had scales on the side that was picked up from grilling it on top of whatever fish they just grilled. Ick. Want wings? Go to the tried and true BWW down the road.

As a reference, the restaurant did not appear busy though there were more people seated when we departed compared to when we arrived. A dysfunctional service operation from hostess station-waitstaff (missed orders, bill payment issues & disappearing waiter). A disconnected management team not addressing the service operations. A surreal experience. Business model must consider that all paying patrons are 1x customers and won't return. Food quality was on par for price point though beer temperature was on warm side. This establishment could learn something from other restaurants in the area. Won't be back but they already knew I wouldn't.

Not a good experience. Walking in with 6 people around 4pm on a Wednesday and told them we were there for Happy Hour. They proceeded to seat us in the dining room vs the bar. (I was OK with that) The waitress came over with dinner menus and I had to tell her again we were there for happy hour. She had some trouble finding the Happy Hour menu. I then asked her what was on tap and she wasn't sure. (How does she not know this, I said to myself) She then remembered 4 if them and said one was imported...Blue Moon. (Uhhh, since when was Blue Moon an import beer). The beers came out. The local beers tasted good, but the Blue Moon had a funny taste to it. Several others at the table said the same thing. I told the waitress and she brought us back a different one. This time there was something floating in the beer. One of the other guests noticed that his glass was chipped. By thus time, I knew it was not meant to be and we left. Just seemed like a lack of attention to detail in their operations.

DO NOT EAT HERE! THEY GENUINELY DO NOT CARE, THEY HAVE TOURISTS COMING IN AND OUT, SO TO THEM, YOURE JUST ANOTHER SUCKER, THEY DON'T CARE!!!! Our food took an hour and a half. Then, once we finally got our food, 4 different people came to drop off our order. The people running the food out to us, we're shooting out orders, basically auctioning off food that was incorrect! And we don't know what is suppose to look like, because every sauce looks the same, so we trusted the staff. They messed up every single order just about, aside from the veggie quesadilla. Management never came by to apologize so we requested a manager . The manager, Kayla?, I believe that's what our server told us, began to tell us how it was our fault. "You took the food, it's your fault" yes, but we thought that THEY knew what their menu was. Mind you, my husband received a half order off wings with no sauce on them, when nobody on our table even ordered that. He asked politely for at least some sauce on the side, but never received it. One member of our party's fries were cold, so we requested new ones, and Kayla said "I'll comp the fries" and rudely walked away. We were all in disbelief!! THE MANAGER THEN, WALKED AROUND THE CORNER, AND STARTED TALKING ABOUT US TO HER STAFF!! And, when leaving, the 2 girls at the host stand had the audacity to say "some people".....i mean WOW. It ruined our family dinner that night.

The place was horrible I was with the table of six everybody got their food but me. Everybody was finished eating and my food still did not come managers came over twice still no food....The manager did not offer an apology or discount. I left starving with no meal....wtf. Horrible customer service skills . The management team needs to be retrained

The wings are a joke, loaded with salt with no taste what so ever. We told the waitress and she ignored us. Don't waste you money.

Grossly understaffed, It took three hours of our vacation to get two meals. The wings sucked, they were waaay too salty. Not a gluten free friendly restaurant. Our waiter, Brian was very friendly, but he was running around like a chicken with his head cut off, as were all the servers (which there were too few of) and the hostess. They told us it would be 30 mins to be seated, it took at least an hour to be seated. Also, a table of three which walked in after us was seated before we were and we only had a party of 2. Then it took another hour to be served boneless wings which were almost cold, as well as too salty to eat, and chicken feathers (an unimpressive dish that we could have done a better job at in our home). My wife had to eat the chicken feathers because they were the only gluten free option (everything is fried in the same oil). She ordered vegetable skewers instead of fries for that reason. So what do they do? They bring out her chicken plated with french fries and charged us extra for the skewers. We had to wait for them to grill her chicken all over again because of this (she has celiacs). It took us three hours to get out of there, the food was terrible, and we didnt even get to eat together. Skip this horrible restaurant.

The wings are always good. The waitress very professional. At great place to watch your sports game.

Slow service. Grilled chicken breast tasted like it was previously frozen, had that weird texture, not juicy at all. Fries were lukewarm. Craft beer menu was wretched. Most craft beer craft beer they had was Sweetwater 420? Skip this one, head somewhere else.

By far hands down the best wings and sauces I've ever had. I love wings and you can tell that this place truly creates there sauce recipes from scratch. What really upsets me though is a place that specializes in wings that are always accompanied by a dipping sauce should NEVER charge for the dipping sauce. It just seems cheap and a money grab and makes the customers feel cheated. The service was good and the place had music and a cool theme going. The other food on menu was average and pricey and the wings were priced decently a little high but they are good. This is not a must try or you will die sad, it's a if your at barefoot landing and you love wings give them a try

Food was just as we expected. They made delicious wings with your choice of flavors. Really good selection. We lived the chipotle jolt ones. Also BBQ nachos were a good starter.

We sat at the outdoor bar and had drinks. Lisa was excellent, friendly and gave us great advice on things to do in the area. When we vacation to North Myrtle again we will be sure to come back.

Went in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. They were not real busy and we got a table right away. We sat at the table for 10 minutes or more and finally left. No one came to ask what we wanted to drink or to ask for our order. Several of the wait staff walked by our table to place orders, deliver food, and even to take checks, but no one was interested in our table for some reason. We were there two weeks earlier also and had very slow service and food took a long time coming out then too. Poor service seems to be acceptable here.

Went during the week on twofer Tuesday--buy ten wings get ten free. This is really the only time I can enjoy this place simply because it's otherwise horribly overpriced. More than $1 a wing--that's where I draw the line. If you can enjoy the wings for half price, they really are good. Big, juicy, perfectly cooked with enough sauces to please every wing-eater. Jalapeño cheddar, red hot and blue, ragin Cajun, gold rush, some of my favorites. The description of each sauce on the menu does little to explain how they taste or even what they are. Ask the server for a more useful version. Awesome wings for those who don't care about what things cost. Those like me, however, will have to limit there visits to Tuesdays only...

This place is pretty good. I got boneless. Also got two flavors...jerk which is like a plain chicken with a jerk dipping sauce with some kind of fruit in the sauce. Pretty good. Some fire but more of a smokey flavor. I also got bbq asian...it had some weird name daisy something or other. Now onto the boring stuff.... The restaurant itself had the bar upstairs and the restaurant is big and open with an outdoor area too. Cool signs on the wall. Typical chain antics but not too obnoxious.. I want to go back soon. On tuesdays buy one order get one free.

We ordered wings and it took over 30 minutes for our order to arrive. Do not plan to return.

My husband and I had a delicious lunch here today. Started with queso and chips and they were very good. Next we shared an 8 piece boneless wing, more like nuggets, but very flavorful, atomic and Parmesan flavors. By the time our Bufferella wraps came, mine with fries, hubby's with cole slaw, we were pretty full. All food was fresh and flavorful and the restaurant had a nice vibe and good music. Service was a little slow, but we weren't in a rush!

We had a nice meal here and the waitress was very attentive. I was worried that we would eat all this hot food and not have anything to drink, but she did a great job making sure we had plenty to douse the flames. This place has many sauces, they rate them by peppers, 1 pepper is kind of mild, 4 is REALLY spicy (can't feel your tongue, lips or mouth). 3 of my kids wimped out and got burgers and a hotdog, but the rest of us were game and tried some spicy stuff. Hubby had a sampler platter which allows you to taste a few different sauces. One of them was listed with just 2 peppers, but he said it had more of a kick to it. The bold son got wings with 4 peppers and we could only take a bite of it before guzzling lots of our beverage. I got a chicken mexacali thing with was spicy (can't feel your lips) and had grilled onion and pepper on it. I really liked our server. First she tried to talk Jack out of getting the really hot stuff, then he said it was too hot, she brought us something else with NO CHARGE! You can't beat that. I do have to say that I hate this location. While it is located near to all the other places to eat, it's also by the Alabama Theater and Alligator Adventure, so the parking is a pain. Also, the driving to find a parking spot is bad too. I guess us Illinois drivers are a little more impatient/agressive than these southerners!

Great food bad service. One of the worst things to encounter. I sat for an hour got zero refills for my drink. For some the food takes a lot longer to get to you than the regular seating. Moral of my story mid day during the week don't sit at the bar.

Jalapeno Cheddar Wings... the crack of finger food!!! Seriously, I have been BEGGING the staff for the recipe... but no luck!

Great people and great place to eat. Food is solid and the atmosphere is great. Awesome lunch spot at the beach because they don't get really that busy until the main dinner rush.

Not very good at all. Service wasn't bad but it sure wasn't good. Bartender was almost annoyed as we asked tourist questions in what would seem to be a tourist cafe. Waiter was good but the wings were awful. I would not go back.

  • Chris S.

Food is pretty good. Appetizers are pretty typical bar fried food, very cold beer which is a plus. Service is friendly and fast. Very good atmosphere with plenty of sports on the tv`s which are all over the place. Wings are God's. I had 2 of the flavors thai and medium, thai was very good

    (4)
  • Jeremy P.

The restaurant was very clean. The servers were slow but friendly. We got wings and mozzarella sticks. The two flavors we tried were the generals and the regular hot wings. Both had good flavor but were slightly overcooked.

Had a party of 8 and got a table in approximately 15 minutes on a Friday night. The appetizers of spinach dip and chips and salsa were excellent. The wings. ... uh so so. I've had much better. Everyone's sandwiches from hamburgers to chicken were pretty good. The sweet tea was excellent and everyone's drinks stayed filled during the entire dinner. Our waitress was nice and attentive. We will return on our next vacation.

Horribly slow- wait staff don't even realize how slow they are and try to blame the kitchen when they don't follow up or check in on the table

Service was not good. Never seen waitress till time to leave. Wings were overly salty. Must have rinsed them in the ocean first. Been there before and food was better. Not impressed today.

Very good food and atmosphere, especially during football season. We got here for happy hour, so $3 beer, wine and apps. Then we got stuck there during a quick thunderstorm...but it turned out great anyway....we ordered 25 wings for dinner and they were super good. Don't come here for the wine but they have a great beer selection! Great service at the bar too.

    (5)
  • Sean M.

They have beer and wings what more could you want! We decided to meet up here for dinner and it was great! The waiter was very hospitable, there were a few mistakes with our order but they were corrected quickly. Plenty of menu items and a deck to eat outside. I've been here a few times when I'm here on vacation and it never disappoints.

Really ?? NO IPA'S ON TAP ?? Why no IPA's ? bartender..."no one drinks IPA's)......now that is interesting....because every where else in the country.....IPA's are the top selling style of craft beer. Any brew pub, micro brewer, beer maven...will attest to this premise. Food is decent...not inspired...but...a notch or two above Hooters and BW3 The bartenders are smart asses and a delight !

  • JP A.

Do not go here. The food was gross. If you have the word "wing" in the name of your establishment, then you should have good wings. The wings were fatty and bland. Everything was super greeezy. This is a tourist spot that up charges on everything. The one thing i liked is Giants mugs filled with Fat Tire, but that's not enough to get this rating past one star.

After fighting Myrtle Beach traffic to get to Barefoot Landing and Wild Wind Cafe we didn't have a wait to sit down which was nice for a restaurant in such a busy area even on a Wednesday night. We had 2 adults and 2 kids on this trip and we all walked away satisfied with our meal. My sister ordered the 25 piece sampler platter to share between herself and the kids (and still had a full to go box left) I sampled the barbecue and an ranch breaded one and both were good, but the ranch on was VERY salty. I ordered a burger on texas toast, which was greasy but tasty nonetheless. We also ordered the corndog kids meal which was bite size pieces of breaded hotdog instead of the kind on a stick. While nothing spectactular stood out about the meal - it was reasonably priced and our service was good too. Since I'm not a big wings fan, I'd only return with someone who was, but all in a solid 3 stars.

Out with four golfers for the week at Myrtle. We wanted wings and thought "Hooters". But to Yelps credit we searched for chicken wings and this came up. Huge. Wings are fantastic. Seriously. About 25 different favors to try, and you can get a 25 sampler (or 50!) to nosh on 5 different flavors with friends. They have lots of other choices too but we only had wings. Beer was cold they had lots on tap, I had a Fat Tire and a Pacifico. They had two IPAs: Sierra Nevada and Dogfish 90 Minute IPA. Buddy had the 90 minute and was loving it. Service was great, we sat at the bar watched the US Open and bantered with the bartenders. I'll definitely go back there again, over Hooters.

We waited only a short while to be seated, the decor was great, ambiance great. Our waitress seemed to forget us after was didn't order right away. Once we did order, the food came out in a timely manner. The pretzel bites were yummy, very buttery and salty. I ordered Chicken Feathers with Thai sauce, but you couldn't taste the sauce! The sweet potato fries were just right. The hubs got a sloppy joe and really enjoyed it, especially the Texas Toast.

Some spot for a casual happy hour!

I'll agree with Sean. We came down for golf and didn't want to go to Hooters as it is over-rated! We watched the Giants CRUSH New Orleans! While eating great wings (plenty of sauces to choose from), nice croud of locals, golfers, and people from other parts of the Country. Wait staff was EXCELLENT!!

Here's the straight up deal. I am a wing connoisseur of Buffalo Wings. Go to Clyde's of Tyson's and ask the bartender for "Wings Ed's way" (Wings only, grilled, tossed in regular sauce with a bowl of death sauce and blue cheese on the side) the death sauce is not really spicy at all just adds additional flavor. Those wings crush. Since moving to the beach Ive only had wings at two places. One, House of Blues and here. Now, here at WWC they tout "Best Wings south of Buffalo" CLEARLY this is a marketing ploy and a touristy trap! One thing I have noticed here is that you cant get wings only??? and asking for grilled you'll get the "lets see if we cant change his mind" comment "it'll take a bit longer" I know, that's what happens when you grill them. Most restaurants "par cook" especially Buffalo wild wings, which means they cook them half way through then they sit on a tray all day soaking in their half cooked grease and then when Joe Customer walks in and orders wings you get then in 5-7 minutes. Wings take about 13 minutes cooked from scratch and in doing that you will get a plump and juicy wing, not the dried up over cooked wings I got today at WWC. I could tell they were "Par Cooked" then put on a grill. They did take awhile but i understood. I also asked for extra blue cheese cause we all know those small plastic ramekin they give you last about 3 or 4 wings. I also wanted to try to of the hotter sauces just to see. They charged me .50 for each?? Is you food cost that bad off? Is every customer asking for extra to the point it taken your food coast way off? it was principle I assure you. Also, they only offered 10 or 16 wing Let me set the record straight. If your called WWs and I didn't dare ask if they allowed "wings only" because Ive asked at several places and they all said no??? I'm like WHAT? just tell the cook to remove the legs and replace with wings!!! It's that simple. GIVE PEOPLE OPTIONS! This restaurant toting the name WWC should offer 6,12, 18, 24 etc. They should allow customers to have several wings tossed in different sauces to try different flavors without banging them for it.Cleary this place caters to the tourist by only allowing minor changes to the order. I guarantee if I tried to get them "Ed's way" they would have looked at me crossed eyed and said "oh, we cant do that'? Hey guess what? YES YOU CAN! you just do it! real simple. HOB wouldn't allow me to get wings only either but they were plump and the meat practically fell off the bone so they got a pass on that. If I owned a restaurant you could get them any way you wanted! Plain and simple!

There are so many flavors to choose from. Ask for your wings extra crispy if thats how you like them. What I liked it that we ordered 58 wings and were able to choose like 7 flavors or something. That way we were able to try a lot! The service was great too. Very friendly staff. We liked it so much that we returned a couple evenings fora fter dinner drinks and a couple games of Silver Strike! Fun times.

This place is on-par with bdubs. It seemed like we were stuck between getting not enough wings or too many, but it worked out when we agreed to share the 25/5 flavor plate. Waitress messed up one of the flavors, and forgot to bring cheese on the cheese fries. The flavors we tried were chernobyl, ragin' cajun, carolina fireball, gold rush, and the mistake was ginger instead of the general. Chernobyl was my favorite. Gold rush was also very good. Ragin' cajun was lackluster, carolina fireball was extremely spicy- like the indicator looks like the same color as chernobyl but it was at least a level and a half hotter than it, it clears your sinuses. Ginger sucked, I mean who gets ginger sauce on wings anyway? Wings were average-sized, overall a pretty good place for bar foods. I would go back.

We had their Hot Spinach Dip for starters which comes with tortilla chips. It's fairly decent. A little too creamy. I ordered the Wings & Rib combo which is composed of half a rack of rib with my choice of Crazy Daisy Asian Barbecue (the recipe they claim to have won the 2011 Battle of the Bones Champion, wherever that is; so I asked for that thinking that that would represent their best recipe), spicy chicken wings (6 pieces) with celery and bleu cheese dip, and onion rings. First of all, their award-winning ribs are not so prize-winning in taste. Like most ribs recipes here in the South, the ribs were boiled until tender and then basted with the sweet Asian-inspired barbecue sauce. Since you choose your own sauce, the flavor did not really infuse with the meat because it was not marinated with it. Rather, you have a thick layer of sauce covering a flavorless boiled piece of meat. And the sauce was a little overpowering; it's literally all you can taste. Their onion rings are probably the worst I have ever had. The recipe is basically composed of a flour and egg mixture. No breadcrumbs here. So you actually get onion rings which are very large and fluffy with a tiny onion center. Think M&Ms with no chocolate center. The good thing is that their chicken wings are actually pretty good. I would have been more disappoint if their wings are bad considering that this is what they really sell. Service was good; the waitress was on time and fulfilled her job in replenising our drinks. So, will I return here in my next visit to Myrtle Beach? Probably not. The only reason why we're there in the first place was because we were very hungry and they were still open (past 10 pm) and the closest one in sight.

PROS: Awesome drink specials. Great wings with multiple flavors. Wings were also buy 8, get 8 free and were of good quality. Waaay better than bdubs. CONS: None

Wanted something for lunch, but nothing big. We were at Barefoot Landing that day and so we decided to go here for some wings. I'm so happy that we did. Our server on the first visit was good. She explained the sauces and she was catering to everyone at the bar as well as those of us in the booths near the bar area. There were TVs everywhere. I would imagine this place can get very loud during Sunday football games!. We went back the second time and I wanted to try the Sloppy Joe. It's not like a New England sloppy joe. This was made with thick bread in a closed sandwich, toasted. It was okay, but I should have gotten the wings again. We had a young man server this day who was originally from New England, so we had lots to chat about. He was knowledgeable regarding other places around the area that we should try. I told him we'd be back there again, no matter who he told us was good (restaurants). I'm looking forward to stopping by again and I will once again order wings. I thought 5 wings was plenty for me to handle and I'm the one that gets that 'wimpy' sauce! My significant other tried the hot sauce.

We go to Myrtle Beach on family business about once a year and while the town is not one of my favorites, it's always fun to try out the different restaurants, since so many seem to come and go. That said, we now return time and again to the Wild Wing Cafe. The place has, without a doubt the best wings I have ever had. Until finding this place, I was not a fan of wings, but all that has changed thanks to this popular haunt. The place stays busy, even in the off-season, but the service is still consistently good. With an almost unlimited choice of menu items, be sure to save room for some wings and definitely dessert. I have never seen such an extensive drink menu of exotic items, but you will definitely feel you're on holiday once you've imbibed. Be prepared for fun and go hungry. You won't be disappointed!

Had a nice atmosphere for a Friday night - especially during the off season. The beer was good and the waiter was very prompt with the refills. Met the owner, he seemed like a genuinely nice person and was happy to have us there. The food quality was pretty good.

Delicious food. I am a big wing eater and these are some fine wings. The sauces are great and there are many to choose from. The hot Parmesan is fantastic. It is hot wing sauce with Parmesan cheese on the wings. Their Cajun is also very tasty. The prices are a little high but you gotta expect that in a big vacation area. The staff is also very friendly.

Average wings. I understand a hang enviroment, but the service was just too slow.

We were visiting Myrtle Beach from New Hampshire, and Wild Wing Cafe was right across the street from our hotel. We were looking for a place to grab a quick late night bite to eat that was close by, and this seemed like a good choice. There's a bunch of restaurants in Barefoot Landing, and after a quick drive through, and search on Yelp nothing was really jumping out at us. Since we wanted something casual and were probably only going to get appetizers, and drinks we figured we give this place a try. I'm glad we did because the place was good. The menu has tons of choices, and much more than just wings. We ordered a couple different kind of chicken feathers, which are basically chick tenders cooked in different sauces, and BBQ chicken nachos. Both were very good, and I'd order them again. Beer selection wasn't bad, with about 20 beers on tap. Being from NH, and a fan of micro brews I was hoping for something different and local to SC, but everything seemed to be what we had at home. I did try a Fat Tire beer I hadn't had before and it was pretty good, but it was the only beer I couldn't get at home, and I would have liked a bigger selection. This place is basically a sports bar with TVs everywhere and a focus on wings, but plenty of other menu choices as well. It's similar to Smokey Bones, and Buffalo Wild Wings chains. Overall the food, and drinks were exactly what we were looking for, and the service was fast and friendly. We'd definitely go back again if we were in the area.

Decent bar food. Service was mediocre. The Server did okay with the amount of people at his station, but he really needed help. Parking was horrible. The House of Blues is in the same plaza and people were driving around for 20 minutes trying to find a space. I ordered the, "Asian Bowl," which was grilled chicken over rice with some spice. It had good flavor but took revenge later with some terrible heart burn. The rest of the table ordered wings and burgers. Everyone seemed to like the food, but it wasn't anything special. There was a really good selection of foreign beer on tap, so that made the experience a little better. If you are in the mood for wings and beer, it works just fine, but they really need to step it up with all the competition in this area.

This was a lunch stop while on vacation to our family condo in Barefoot Resort. The restaurant stands by its name of Wild Wings Cafe offering dozens of wing flavors and toppings. The regular size includes 10 wings with two flavor choices. The wings themselves didn't wow me by any means but satisfied my desire for wings. What I really loved was the BBQ chicken nachos which had a vinegar base for the sauce and was quite tangy. There were also plenty of beers available on tap. I tried a recommendation from the waiter which was Flat Tire. The beer is local to the south and being from up north the closest I'd say it compares too is a flat Sam Adams Boston lager. I ordered something else after as I didn't particularly enjoy the brew. The atmosphere here is sports bar / dive bar. There were plenty of TVs to watch the games. I don't know that I'd try this place again as there are so many other options along the strip. They probably do well being located in Barefoot landing as tourists are always in the area.
